A Long List of Problems, from Buyers
Buyers have many serious complaints:
- Delayed Delivery: Most buyers were initially promised their units by 2022, 2023, or September 2023. They are still waiting in 2025. New buyers now face possession dates as late as 2027.
- Broken Promises: The builder has repeatedly broken promises and changed deadlines. Dates shifted from December 2022 to June 2024, then to December 2024, and now possibly 2026. This has destroyed buyer trust.
- Financial Disaster: Buyers who chose subvention schemes are left in a terrible position. They must pay EMIs, even though the builder failed to pay on time. This has damaged buyers’ creditworthiness. Many are now paying both EMIs and rent.
- Unresponsive Builder: Builder agents are reportedly unresponsive and confrontational. They can even be physically aggressive in meetings, increasing the buyers’ distress.
- Ineffective RERA: Buyers contacted the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA), but the builder allegedly ignores their orders. The builder faces fines for delays but reportedly gives false information to the court.
- Suspected Malpractice: Buyers worry the builder is intentionally delaying the project. They suspect the goal is to make buyers exit so units can be resold at higher prices. There are also concerns that the builder is starting new projects while current ones remain incomplete.

United for Justice: Mahagun Montagge Unity Group
Recognizing the urgent need for action, the distressed buyers formed the Mahagun Montagge Unity Group. This group brings all buyers together in one place. It serves as a central hub where they can connect, share vital information, and plan strategies. By uniting, they aim to amplify their voices and ensure their concerns are heard. The group’s goal is to present a strong, unified front against the Mahagun builder.
A Plea for Justice
The buyers are exhausted, frustrated, and feel ignored. They are now pleading for the intervention of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. They want him to “put an end to the builder’s mafia raj,” ensure their flats are delivered on time, and order a fair inquiry into the matter.
