About Koparo Clean and the Founders:

The founder of the company is Simran Khara. She graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce with a BA Honors in Economics. She has studied Masters from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian School of Business.

Made with nature in mind, Koparo Clean provides germ-killing products without any harmful chemicals. She understands the ill effects of chemicals in modern times and while searching for ways to avoid the use of many such substances during the pandemic, she came up with the idea of bringing such a product to the people.

Koparo Clean Business Statistics:

Koparo Clean has sold 3 lakh units so far. Dish Washing Liquids of Koparo Clean is their hero product. It is priced at ₹159 and dishwashing liquids from other chemical product brands come at ₹125. Koparo Clean Laundry Care Liquids comes in 45 doses for ₹529, which is priced at ₹11.7. Other Laundry Care Liquids come in 33 doses, ₹440, which costs ₹13.3. In August 23, the business loss was ₹21 lakh, and the burn was ₹27 lakh. Money In Bank is more than ₹10 crore.

In August 2023, Koparo Clean recorded sales of ₹80 lakh, contributing to the total revenue of ₹4.5 crore for fiscal year 2022-23. The company projects a significant increase in sales for fiscal year 2023-24, aiming to reach ₹12 crore. Koparo Clean’s sales are diversified across various platforms, with 45% of sales coming from their own website, 40% from Amazon, 8% from Big Basket, and 7% from Quick Commerce and other channels.

Koparo Clean’s unit economics reveal that 34% of costs are attributed to the cost of goods sold (COGS), while 28% is allocated to order processing, logistics, and warehousing, and another 34% to performance marketing. The contribution margin ranges between 2% to 4%. Having conducted two funding rounds, Koparo Clean raised ₹5.6 crore in November 2021 and an additional ₹12 crore in February 2023, resulting in a total amount raised of ₹17.6 crore.
