AWS AI-Driven Development Lifecycle: Amazon Web Services (AWS) presented a new paradigm shift in developing software, the AI-Driven Development Lifecycle (AI-DLC), at their DevSphere 2025 event in Bengaluru, which takes artificial intelligence as the centrepiece of the present software development. Announced by Swami Sivasubramanian, AWS Vice President of Agentic AI, this model aims to revolutionize the product development process and save months, as it is possible to complete the process in just a few days with the help of generative AI and autonomous agents.
AI-DLC: A New Era of Software Engineering Begins
Writing code utilising AI is usually just a side of the AI-DLC technique, where we should integrate AI in every phase of the development process. Generative AI agents assume the monotony of repetitive and logic-intensive tasks, starting with ideation and planning but extending to coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring, which now have the strategic decisions and innovation as the sole engagement of human developers.
