Broomees has raised INR 1 crore from shark tank season 2. Piyush, Namita and Aman invested in this startup. They asked for ₹80 lakhs for 2% equity of the company at the valuation of ₹40 crores.
Namita and Aman offered ₹80 lacs for 3% equity of the company. Anupam gave an offer of ₹80 lakhs for 2% equity of the company. The revised offer from Namita and Aman was ₹80 lakhs for 2% equity of the company. Later Peyush joined Namita, and Aman revised their offer to ₹80 lakhs for 3% equity. The counter-offer by the founders was ₹2 crores for 5% equity of the company. Anupam stepped out of the deal.

About the Broomees
The company’s founders are Saurav, Niharika Jain, and Vaibhav Agarwal. They are from Delhi. College friends Saurabh and Vaibhav have previously worked on many projects on social entrepreneurship. Niharika entered as the first customer of Broomees and worked as a customer acquisition, marketing, and strategic planner. CEO Vaibhav looks after the tech and product-related work. Saurav is the COO and looks after the operations and supply chains in the company.
Vaibhav holds 25% equity, whereas Saurav and Niharika each have 22% equity, 5% is ESOP, and the remaining 25% is with investors.
Broomees was started in February 2021. It is a tech-enabled platform through which one can book a cook, a babysitter, a house helper, or an all-rounder. They have a website and an app for this business. Their 2 minutes booking process makes it easy to book a verified, trained, and reliable worker. To their workers, they provide health insurance, child education, interest-free loans and female hygiene products, and the opportunity to earn 3 times more salary. They have already offered their service to more than 5000 households across India. Online hiring of workers is done through worker apps, and offline sourcing is done through training centres and on-field campaigns. They have two separate apps for customers and workers that provide options for replacement and feedback.

Monthly request from broomees for workers is approximately 250, and a fulfilled request is 140. The average contract life is seven months, and the average contract value is ₹7000 to ₹11000. In their first pre-seed round, they raised an investment of ₹4.2 crores at ₹28 crores post-money valuation. Second round investments are going on of ₹7 crores at ₹35 crores pre-money valuation. Their monthly burn is ₹20 lacs, the take value is ₹15 lakhs and the gross transaction value is ₹95 lakhs.
