Microsoft partners with Maharashtra to launch MahaCrimeOS AI platform as AI Powered Fight Against Cybercrime

Microsoft and Maharashtra Government unveiled the AI-powered MahaCrimeOS AI platform to enhance the State’s cybercrime investigation capabilities. The announcement was made during the Microsoft AI Tour held in Mumbai.

MahaCrimeOS AI expands cybercrime response

By utilizing various technologies such as AI assistants, cloud infrastructure, and automated workflows from the Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service and Microsoft Foundry, the platform is able to offer support to officers across the state in their cybercrime activities. In Nagpur, where MahaCrimes OS was initially launched in 23 police stations, the authorities plan to take it to the rest of 1,100 police stations in the State after a successful trial run.

With this system, creating a new case becomes instant and easy, data can be obtained from different languages, correct legal texts can be given, and other cases can be linked together with the help of the platform. The system supports law enforcement agencies in the study of electronic evidence so that the routine work can be minimized and the response time can be fast in cybercrime situations.

MahaCrimeOS AI enhances police efficiency

The software that was developed with the support of Maharashtra’s Special Purpose Vehicle MARVEL and the security of the cyber firm CyberEye, standardizes the investigative process in the system. With the help of the program, policemen will have more time to work on difficult issues while at the same time, they will be provided with support in the performance of their routine tasks.
