In the meetings, he noted the need for Artificial Intelligence to be ethical and unbiased in its operations and development in India.

Technology Startup Companies as Driving Forces Behind the Country’s Ambitions

Indian AI Startups: The event was attended by startups focusing on various AI applications, ranging from healthcare diagnostics to generative AI, language models, and advanced analytics. Modi called such entrepreneurs “co-architects of India’s future” and exhorted them to build AI models that could compete in the international arena. He pointed out that it was an “India opportunity” to be trusted worldwide for its quality AI solutions.

Modi encouraged the development of AI technologies that would embody Indian culture and languages. Startups, in this case, would develop technologies in regional languages and different AI models, which would then be showcased around the world. This, Modi said, is in line with his idea of ‘Made in India, Made for the World,’ thus making his country known for its world-class AI technologies.

Preparations for the Impact of AI Summit 2026

The discussions have laid the agenda for the upcoming India AI Impact Summit, where these startups will be represented. It is important to note that Modi’s presence signifies that the government is on board to create an ecosystem that promotes ethical innovation in AI.
